Description
2nd Prize ACCE 2012 Competition
Serve between 8 – 10ºC
Its voluminous, creamy and persistent foam is striking, almost reminiscent of French mousse, and tempting to dip a spoon into.
Quijota Negra is jet black colored, although its retained transparency can still be observed when exposed to strong light, revealing red nuances.
Its flavor is moderate to high, due to the maximum toast of malts, with hints of roasted coffee beans provided by the torrefied barley, although this is not prominent.
A crisp medium-high hop bitterness can be sensed, although not remaining in the mouth, and also high carbonation despite not using CO2, as it is obtained by natural means.
This beer has medium body, somewhat creamy, and with sweet chocolate scent. Alcohol character is present but not in excess.
